Peace of Mind is excited to announce we were able to give $15,000 to the Zero Suicide Initiative from our 2016 event.

The Zero Suicide Initiative has transformed suicide rates in health systems in the United States and United Kingdom through a system-wide quality improvement initiative that sets a bold goal of reducing suicides and attempted suicides in the health care system by wrapping care differently around the individual.

Spearheading this initiative is a team well-versed in suicide prevention, including Dr. Paul Links, the Chair Chief of Psychiatry for both St. Joseph’s and London Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Links participated in the development of Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention Blueprint for the National Suicide Prevention Strategy - it’s his belief that launching Zero Suicide will set a new gold standard in mental health care across our country.

We were so pleased to talk to and share our story with Megan Stacey from the London Free Press about Peace of Mind and our upcoming event...here's the article, enjoy!
